Senior Citizen Recreation Center Rupandehi is delighted to announce the launch of its new Yoga and Meditation Program — a structured daily wellness initiative designed for the physical and mental well-being of our senior members. The program has already received an overwhelmingly positive response from participants.

What the Program Includes

  • Morning meditation (30 minutes) — Guided mindfulness and breathing exercises to start the day with calm
  • Gentle yoga (45 minutes) — Chair-assisted and floor yoga adapted for senior mobility and joint health
  • Vipassana practice — Seated silent meditation for inner awareness and emotional balance
  • Pranayama — Controlled breathing exercises to improve lung capacity and reduce stress
  • Group sharing — A short session where members reflect and connect

Schedule

The program runs Sunday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the SCRCR center in Tilottama-4, Rupandehi. All sessions are free for registered members.

Benefits for Senior Health

Regular yoga and meditation practice provides significant benefits for older adults: improved balance and flexibility, reduced anxiety and depression, better sleep quality, lower blood pressure, and a greater sense of well-being. Our certified instructor has designed all sessions to be safe and accessible for every fitness level.
